Our third time in Spain traced a two-part arc: first, a Southern Spain warm‑up through Malaga’s museums and gardens, Granada’s Alhambra, Antequera’s dolmens and El Torcal’s limestone maze, white‑village stops en route to Ronda, and a detour to Gibraltar; then a Canary Islands circuit that shifted the pace—Santa Cruz’s auditorio and Palmetum in Tenerife, hikes around Teide’s otherworldly slopes, César Manrique’s art‑landscapes and volcanic forms in Lanzarote, wide‑open beaches and island drives across Fuerteventura, and urban strolls, botanic gardens, and mountain routes in Gran Canaria. Over thirty‑plus days, the trip blended city wanders, archaeological sites, coastal time, and crater trails—capturing Spain’s range from Andalucían history to Atlantic lava fields.
