It's the easiest hiking stage so far. It started with a slight climb to a small pass. From there, we realized that the place to have cell reception in Corsica isn't in hotels but along the passes. A bit of a strange idea, but we can see the cell towers that serve the villages from there, so maybe we have service at that time... I can confirm it. Our first Facebook post on the trail was made from there.
After the small climb, we go back down, then we do flatland. After 5 days in the mountains, I can tell you it's weird to be on flat ground. It's also today that we crossed the most cows, horses and donkeys. In fact, the lake tour seems to be the gathering point. From afar, it was quite pretty. Up close, however, we realize that all these cute animals have been coming here for a long time and depositing their droppings here for a long time too. It's a veritable field of dung with grass, very well fertilized, growing through it. I'll leave you a photo that has no rocks in it, but several small brown piles
