It's our first short day (6:15 hours). It still started with a pretty technical climb. There were many chains to help us climb the big rocky walls. In many cases, the chains weren't helpful because it was hot and dry, and consequently, we had good traction on the rock. We wouldn't have wanted to do the same climb in the rain, because an ice rink at 90 degrees would have been less slippery than the rock. Once at the top, we still face a long series of passes (we're starting to get used to it). The mountain seemed endless because at each "pass" we had to climb to reach the next. The descent, like the climb, was also interminable. It was, in fact, the most present memory we had of this day. Although the hotel is immediately visible from the pass summit, the descent still takes several hours. In a descent like that, it's also difficult to judge the scale, so you always have the impression that you're a few hundred meters from arrival.

Upon our arrival at the Asco hotel, we realized that, unfortunately, there was no wi-fi and the only available cellular network was Orange; our SIMs don't work on this network. The next opportunity to share our adventure with our friends will perhaps be on day 5, but my intuition tells me the Internet in Corsica won't be easy to access.
