It rained pretty much all day. So we decided to move from coffee shop to coffee shop and read. As it turns out, if not every coffee shop in NZ offers good coffee, all coffee shops in a Kiwi big city will. We enjoyed delicious coffee drinks everywhere we went. What was surprising is that coffee shops are all open until 17:00 (or 16:30 if staff feel like closing early). It’s like they all had a meeting about it. Luckily for us, wine stores close between 19:00 and 21:00, which leads me to conclude that New Zealanders love their wine. In any case, it gave us a chance to grab a bottle for apéro before making our way home.
We’re sharing a minimal crop of pictures today as it was a reading day :-) However, spending time in Wellington, moving from coffee shop to coffee shop, did allow us to appreciate and photograph the quirky side of the City.
