Coming back to Florence is coming back to one of our favourite cities. Our hotel room is the best we've had in a long time. That said, the wi-fi is only available near the door. After spending the first evening sitting on the floor near the door, Karine had the excellent idea of moving the small sofa to a corner of the room that we weren't using anyway; that's how the "wifi" chair was born.

Coming back to Florence is a pleasure. The city center, the food, and the particular architecture instantly remind us why we fell in love with this city. Personally, it's the unsalted bread that tells me I'm back in Florence. It's something I miss the moment I leave the city. It's not a taste shared by everyone (read here shared by Karine)
We seem to have arrived at a good time, since there are fewer people than there were 4 years ago. Impossible to compare with last year since we only stopped one night, where we essentially arrived, went to dinner, slept and took a train the next morning.

Since we've done the major sites, we're starting to explore more broadly. Today it was the artisan quarter. That's where we discovered the Santo Spirito Square. It's a bit of the Hipster corner of Florence; we fell under its spell.
