It's the official exit from the trail today. We started with toast! It's strange how the little things miss you during the hike. A good breakfast feels good. The train ride between Vizzavona and Bastia showed us the mountains from another angle.
Today, we also shipped ourselves the sleeping bags, mattresses, and the rest of the equipment we no longer need. We left some of the things behind too like like Karine’s hiking poles that are not allowed in an airplane cabin, our map of the trail, some hiking gear that was on its last leg. Overall, that's 4.4kg of equipment less to carry! Our bags seem quite empty.
We left the trail today because the weather promised us storms. Well, that's exactly what we got. Obviously, it was while we were eating under an umbrella! But hey, "spoiler", it's the only rain we'll have on our vacation! Also, that’s why we have next to no pictures for that day.
