First breakfast with protein! Ham and yogurt! They call it a gourmet breakfast. Not sure whether it was the ham or the Activia yogurt that made it gourmet, but it was a much-appreciated breakfast.
Today it was a rather pleasant climb followed by a long descent to Vizzavona. As it did yesterday, the trail follows a river with several excellent spots for swimming. The French and Corsicans (there's a distinction between the two, even though all Corsicans are French...) really seem to appreciate the opportunity and swim there in large numbers. I can understand that the lakes don't really offer a pleasant place to plunge your whole body, but I can assure you, it's not in the river "pools" that you'll swim laps.
We got 3G about 1 hour before arriving at Vizzavona. Karine says, "I'm tired of battling with the trail; somewhere it would be nice if they announced rain for the next few days, giving us a reason to leave the trail." PL responds: "We can look right now... Well, they're announcing storms starting tomorrow at noon, and it'll last 4 days. We therefore decide to leave the trail and go drown our "sorrow" in Italy.
